Hi Friends! Seaweed or sea vegetables are forms of algae that grow in the sea. They're a food source for ocean life and not a part of natural human diet. We are probably in most cases better off not eating eat, at least not eating it very often. One of the reasons why people recommend algae is for the B12 content. Seaweed and other algae contain B12 analogs, which are not B12, your body cannot use them. They fill the receptor sights for B12, making it impossible for receptors to accept real B12 when it comes along. Algae also tends to have too much sodium and it's very very high in protein (we need tiny amounts of it). So if you wanna use seaweeds, it should be something you do only occasionally. Hope you learned something new today! Enjoy and leave your comments below!
