Today we’re going to cover the dangers of low cholesterol.
It turns out that there are just as many, if not more, problems with low LDL and low cholesterol than with high LDL and high cholesterol.
Your body makes cholesterol—even your brain cells make cholesterol. Cholesterol is needed to make vitamin D and bile salts, and it’s also involved in making cell membranes.
If your cholesterol or LDL is too low, various problems can occur.
Dangers of low cholesterol: 1. Cataracts 2. Fatty liver disease 3. Lack of bile 4. Fatty stool 5. Constipation 6. Intellectual disability 7. Anxiety and depression 8. A higher risk for cancer 9. A lowered immune system 10. Hyperthyroidism
