Hi Friends! Orthorexia is an unhealthy focus on eating in a healthy way. Eating nutritious food is good, but if you have orthorexia, you obsess about it to a degree that can damage your overall well-being. I think there are people who take anything to the extreme. They have extremely narrow idea about what's ok and what's not. When the fact is, if you live in a real world and you want to travel sometimes you are gonna have to make some minor compromises. Maybe it's fair to say, that it's an emotional, psychological disease, that has physical ramifications. So, orthorexia is real, it is entirely possible to be overly obsessed with making the best possible choices. But wanting to make healthy choices, living your life in a way, that's actually good for yourself - there's nothing wrong with that. But the fact is a lot of people are happy to think of it that way, cause that excuses them from doing it.
