Hi Friends! Protein is essential for life – it's a building block of every human cell and is involved in the vital biochemical functions of the human body. It's particularly important in growth, development, and tissue repair. Protein is one of the three major "macronutrients" (along with carbohydrates and fat). So, consuming enough protein is required to stave off malnutrition. But can too much protein be harmful? Study was published in 2013, that said "If you over consume protein, you age and die faster". Now of all the things that people eat what contains the most protein per calorie? Meat? No! Dark leafy greens are 50% protein. In one of his videos Michael Greger said it will be impossible for a vegan to over consume protein. True, unless juicing greens and living on green smoothies. They are not a health food. You can easily overdo it. By the way it's also possible to eat a lot of soy products, fake meat products. Stay away from them. They are heavily processed and harmful for you! We don't ever need to worry about protein. All you have to do is eat enough food for your body - fruit and greens - you'll get all the protein you need.
