Compression injuries to a person’s head, such as falling on your head or having something fall on your head, can cause forward head posture.
Tailbone injuries and whiplash injuries can also cause forward head posture. Even sitting behind a desk at a computer for long periods can lead to this issue.
How to fix forward head posture: 1. The Jefferson curl Step 1. Curl your head forward as much as possible Step 2. Curl your mid-back forward and start to touch your toes, bending your lower back Step 3. Over time, hold weights to help increase the flexibility and strength of your spine
2. Use a cervical traction device • Use this device about a half hour before bed for 5 to 10 minutes
3. Do neck strengthening exercises • Get on all fours and do extension-type exercises • Get on your back and do flexion-type exercises
