10:12 Learn more about sleep!

Let’s talk about why you feel sleepy after eating. If you consume a high-carb diet or even a high-protein diet with a lot of carbs, you elevate blood sugar and insulin levels. This leads to insulin resistance.

When you have insulin resistance, your cells resist insulin and fuel. This means that when you eat, the fuel isn’t going into the cells, causing the cells to lack energy.

Other causes of fatigue after eating include:
• Overeating
• Low hydrochloric acid
• Lack of sleep
• Snacking
• Reactivated virus

What to do for afternoon sleepiness:
1. Run your body on ketones (get on the keto diet and do intermittent fasting)
2. Fix your sleep
3. Delay drinking your coffee in the morning by 90 to 120 minutes after waking up
4. Take apple cider vinegar or betaine hydrochloride right before you eat
