Hi Friends! You want to fast as soon after being injured as possible. That's going to give you the most immediate results. Also, you can fast prior to a surgery, it will help you, it will boost your immune system.
When we are fasting, our bodies are healing and cleansing. Both of these things are happening all the time. They never stop. They may not be happening very efficiently or very effectively in the average body. Fasting allows the body to be much more efficient and effective. But, it's really the cleansing, the detoxification , which gets much more powerful after day 10 or 11, and again after day 21. For healing - as soon as we rest completely with eyes closed, our bodies have much more energy to heal. And healing is going to happen much more effectively. The less we do, the more benefit we get. And that's right from the beginning. Simply not eating is huge. Healing doesn't necessarily change as much as detoxification does. Detoxification changes because of where the body is getting its fuel from.
