Have you ever suffered from nail fungus? It's such a common problem, especially for our toenails.

They're always exposed, which makes them more prone to fungal infections that can happen anywhere, like bathrooms, locker rooms, swimming pools, or even on contaminated personal items such as nail clippers and files.

These microorganisms can cause infections in the nails and between the toes, which often lead to athlete's foot! You can usually tell if you have nail fungus if your nails become discolored, lose their shine, or even become thick, uneven, and brittle, often losing their shape and becoming raised or loose.

It's essential to start treatment as soon as you notice these symptoms to stop the infection from getting worse.

But did you know that you can treat nail fungus at home with a garlic paste that contains natural antifungal ingredients like baking soda and coconut oil?

Garlic helps inhibit the growth of fungi and bacteria, baking soda helps with various types of infections, and coconut oil moisturizes the skin around the nails while also inhibiting the growth of bacteria and fungi.

The preparation of the garlic paste is simple! Peel two small cloves of garlic (if they're large, one will do) and knead them well until it becomes a paste. Add one teaspoon of baking soda and one teaspoon of coconut oil (you can also use extra virgin olive oil) and mix everything well.

Clean your feet by boiling two liters of water with three cloves of garlic and waiting until it's warm. Add two tablespoons of baking soda and two tablespoons of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar, and let your feet soak for 20 minutes.

Afterward, dry your feet well with a clean towel and apply the garlic paste to the affected nail. You can also apply the paste between your toes. If you have athlete's foot, it may sting a bit, but it'll help treat it.

Leave the paste on for half an hour and then rinse it off. Don't sleep with the garlic paste on your feet or cover it.

Although this treatment will fight the fungus in the first application, it won't disappear overnight. So keep applying the paste until you see results!
