How Juice Fasting and Water Fasting Compare






Hi Friends! I get asked a lot isn't it possible that some people are too toxic, too sick or too weak to water fast? Maybe we should embrace juice fasting for these people? At Tanglewood Wellness Center in 23 years of supervising fasts I've never seen anyone too weak, too toxic or too sick to fast. No one hasn't been able to fast because of that. In fact, the sicker, the more toxic, the weaker you are -- the more important it is to fast. Because fasting is the most efficient way to change those things. And, I don't think fasting is a stress for the body, I think for most people it alleviates stress immediately. Yes, some people are going to see symptoms exacerbate, but that's because their bodies are cleansing and healing.
And juicing is not a healthy choice in general. Juices (and smoothies!) are fragmented, overly concentrated, largely oxidized, imbalanced and unnatural. We do not need them! If you're consuming fruit juices, you're getting too much sugar, because you removed all the fiber. If you're drinking green juices, you're consuming something that is way too high in protein. We don't benefit from doing this.
