Hi Friends! People often ask me what are the requirements regarding the amount of body fat and lean tissue in the body in order to have an easy and successful fast. Because your body is running primarily on fat, having an ample fat is probably more important, is probably more of a determining factor. If someone has a very little muscle mass to start with for their size, they are going to get super weak. And they may get so weak, that it feels like they can't continue. They can continue, but they would have hard time moving around. And I rarely say to someone "You probably need to gain some weight before you can fast". Even though someone like that can probably still fast, the problem is they can't fast long enough that they can actually heal. Remember, the most weight is lost during the first week. So, after a week or so, someone that size gets so thin and weak, that they don't want to really continue, but they would need to. So in this case it would make sense for a person that size to gain some weight before the fast. Hope this makes sense, friends! Enjoy and leave your comments below!
