Most of us may already be aware of the health benefits of garlic by now, right? Well, did you know that sprouted garlic can also be extremely healthy for the human body?
Do you throw away garlic when you notice it’s starting to sprout?
A new research study has found that sprouted vegetables come with a high amount of nutrients that are beneficial for our health.
Vegetables sprout when the seeds inside them are ready to grow into a plant. So, in order to enable the plant to grow well, there are certain enzymes released inside the seed and they are loaded with nutrients; hence, sprouted foods are very healthy!
Garlic antioxidant levels dramatically increase when it has been sprouting for five days, according to research published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry in 2014.
So the next time you find sprouted garlic in your refrigerator, don’t toss it in the garbage!
