Hi Friends! Typically my salad consists of lettuce, tomatoes and avocado. Those 3 ingredients are constant, they are always gonna be included. If I'm adding a sweet fruit to a salad, which is a little bit of a compromise, not something you wanna do if you've got problems with blood sugar, problems with candida, anything like that. I don't have any of those issues, I do perfectly fine. It needs to be something that combines well with acid fruits and fat. What's combines best with fat is acid, so the best fruits to add to a salad will be citrus, pineapple, etc. Banana combines perfectly well with lettuce, but no so well with tomatoes or avocados. You don't wanna put bananas in your salad. If you having a typical green salad, bananas are not a good fit. Acids will be best, the next best will be sub acids. So it's not unusual for people to have apple or pear, or a little bit of mango or papaya in a salad. That could work. Theoretically not as well as acid.
